The Higher Education Department of Jammu & Kashmir is pleased to announce the appointment of an Assistant Professor in Arabic, as per the Government Order No. 356-JK(HE) of 2024. This appointment has been approved following the recommendations of the J&K Public Service Commission, and the post will be filled on a Regular Temporary basis with immediate monetary effect from the date of joining.

Appointment Conditions:

1. Reporting: The appointee is required to report to the Nodal Principal, A.S. College, Srinagar within 21 days from the date of issuance of this order.
2. Probation Period: The appointee will be on probation for a period of two years from the date of joining.
3. Pension Scheme: Appointment shall be governed by the “New Pension Scheme” as per SRO-400 of 2009.
4. Document Verification: At the time of joining, the following documents in original need to be produced:

• Domicile Certificate
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Qualification and Marks Certificates (i.e., NET/SLET/PhD.)
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Health and Medical Certificate
• Any other certificate as required under law

1. Salary Disbursement: Subject to verification of the genuineness of the required documents.
2. Seniority: Determined as per the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.
3. Provisional Appointment: Remains provisional until certificates are verified and found in order.

Additional Information:

• The appointment is subject to the outcome of any pending Writ Petition before the Court of law.
• An affidavit (Annexure-A) should be provided by the appointee regarding the correctness of the documents submitted.
• The position is contingent on the verification report of the Qualification/Date of Birth/Reserved category certificate.
