Applications are now open for the temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Fieldworker/Helper at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J). These positions are part of a DST-funded research project entitled “North Indian Centre for Water Technology Research in Agriculture.”
Position and Salary Details
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Number of positions: 01
- Emoluments: Rs 31,000/- p.m. plus 8% HRA
- Fieldworker/Helper
- Number of positions: 01
- Emoluments: Rs 15,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualifications
- For JRF
- M.Sc. Agriculture/Allied subjects/ Life Sciences/M.Tech (Soil and water conservation)
- NET/ GATE/Equivalent
- For Fieldworker/Helper
- 12th class with four years of experience in field and lab analysis work/data management/office assistance
Desirable Qualification/Experience
- Experience in soil and plant laboratory analysis, laying field trials, water productivity in agriculture, micro irrigation, soil and water conservation, rainwater management, etc.
- Working experience in laying experimental trials/carrying field operations, and familiarity with management practices/ soil and plant analysis/data recording/office assistance.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for applicants is 40 years as of the last date of application submission.
Terms and Conditions
- The positions are temporary, time-bound, and co-terminate with the project on 10.09.2024.
- The University retains discretion regarding filling these positions based on applied candidates’ qualifications/credentials.
- Incumbents’ services will end automatically at the project’s expiry, with no claim of absorption in temporary/regular University posts.
- Appointments can be terminated at any time by the University without any given reason. If an appointee wishes to relinquish their position, they must provide one month’s notice.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
